I wanted to break Nushrat Bharucha’s image of an urban, stylishly dressed girl: Raaj Shaandilyaa

Writer-turned-debutant director Raaj Shaandilyaa, who is setting the bar high on expectation with his film, “Dream Girl”, said that he saw Nushrat Bharucha in ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ and there she was an urban girl, stylishly dressed.

“I wanted to break that image. In the film Dream Girl, the look and appearance will be that of a girl next door. If we look at the present crop of actresses, almost everyone has played the smalltown girl except Nushrat. So, when I narrated the script, she happily took the opportunity to experiment with the image,” Raaj said.

“Dream Girl” is slated to release in September.

Dream Girl is Written & Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa and Produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor & Aashish Singh.

The film stars are Ayushmann Khurrana and Nushrat Bharucha are playing lead roles in this film.

Nushrat made her acting debut with the Bollywood film Love Sex Aur Dhokha but she becomes famous after her movie Pyaar Ka Punchnama film series. Now, her latest released movie is Turram Khan and she comes in a new movie in 2019 with Dream Girl.
