I thank my stars that Sushant left and I got to work with John instead, says RAW director Robbie

Sushant Singh Rajput who recently saw the release of his film Sonchiriya co-starring Bhumi Pednekar, was to work in Robbie Grewal’s Romeo Akbar Walter (RAW). However, after the project was announced and even after he shot for the film’s poster, Sushant called it quits reportedly leaving the producers in lurch.

Soon, John Abrahan stepped into the shoes as a raw agent in Robbie’s film titled Romeo Akbar Walter which is set for a release on April 5.

Talking about the replacement Robbie says, “I thank my stars that Sushant left and I got to work with John instead.”

Remembering his meeting with John, he adds, “I met John and finished the narration in two hours. Right after our discussion he gave me a nod on the same day.”
The film, which Robbie says has been shot in a hectic schedule of 49 days has been filmed in 14 different cities and 90 varied locations across Kashmir, Nepal, Srinagar, parts of Gujarat and Mumbai.

The movie also reunites Robbie with Jackie Shroff. “I worked with him in my very first directorial venture Samay: When Time Strikes (2003). The two of us were itching to work with each other once again and we got this chance.”
