Dabangg 3 starring Salman Khan is being directed by Prabhu Deva. Before Prabhu’s name was officially announced, speculations were rife that Arbaaz Khan could direct it.
However Arbaaz denies these rumours and says that right from the beginning he was only interested in producing it.
“I did not want to direct it. We wanted a fresh person to do it. There are other reasons which you can’t discuss. Also, I was busy with other things. I need to focus on that. I will do maybe not this one but maybe one after that,” he said.
For Arbaaz directing is about having a vision.
“Direction is about a vision. People might think a director should know everything from writing to camera work to costume to acting. It is not like that. For all tgese seperate departments, you can hire experts. As a director you should have a vision. If you never have a vision then you can’t direct it. A director is a jack of all trades and master of one vision.”
Talking about the first schedule of Dabangg 3 that was completed in Madhya Pradesh recently, Arbaaz said, “We had our first schedule which went off very successfully. We finished it on time. We are happy with it. We will get on to shoot from today. We have continuous shoots happening with very little gap. We should wrap up by September hopefully. As of now we want to tentatively come by the end of this year, which is in December. It depends on how well we prepare. This is what we plan to do but it depends on our schedule, if it happens then we will come.”
Arbaaz meanwhile also completed shooting for a web series called Poison in which he is playing the lead role.
