How Smriti Irani has become the ‘coolest minister ever’ on social media

[dropcap]A[/dropcap]part from being the Textile Minister, Smriti Irani is also known for her quirky posts on social media.

Just like millennials, she uses memes to talk about Monday blues and ‘Tuesday troubles’ — when the doctor suggests weight loss to her.

Below are some of her recent posts:

In her efforts to keep up with the new generation, she has prompt posts on her timeline – which are hailed by the netizens as the β€œcool stuff”.

However, this trend does not date back to years as her first breakthrough moment on the Internet was when she posted about the post credit scene – which is a glimpse on what to expect in the upcoming movies after the end credits roll out –from Avengers: Infinity War.

This floored her followers on Twitter and she received well-deserved appreciation.

Ire of social media

If we clock back a couple of years, things were not as good as it happens to be for Irani right now. When the Rajya Sabha minister’s portfolio was changed from HRD to textiles, she became the butt of all jokes on the Internet.

If we go back further to 2014, Irani was trolled on Twitter on her claims to hold a degree from Yale University, in the United States. Though it took her long enough to get out of the radar of netizens, we can’t deny the fact that she has come out as the ‘coolest minister ever’ with her latest posts.
