New Delhi: Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Shikha Talsania and Swara Bhasker starrer Veere Di Wedding finally hit the screens on Friday. So far, it is receiving mixed reviews. Some really liked the movie, while others are not so impressed. On Tuesday, the Pakistan Film Censor Board banned the screening of the film in that country, which is one reason behind the buzz the movie is generating.
When the trailer was launched earlier, it received quite the flak from netizens for all the cussing and drinking the four lead actors were seen doing.
Veere Di Wedding manages to lands several blows to the patriarchy without giving up the masala, says some reviewrs, while many have compared the film to Hollywood’s ‘Sex and the City’ and TV series ‘Mean Girls’.
But one thing ran common along all the reviews it has received so far, the Shashanka Ghosh directorial venture ‘lacks depth’.
