Mumbai: Rohit Shetty is happy to see that his friend Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero will get one full week of free run before Simmba hits the silver screen. In fact, both Simmba and Zero were earlier scheduled to release together on December 21. But to avoid a clash SRK met Rohit and Karan Johar and chalked out a plan wherein all three of them decided to postpone Simmba by a week.
Talking about it, Rohit told Dainik Bhaskar, “All of us mutually decided to avert the clash. When a clash happens there is stress. Media puts the entire spotlight on the clash and says there is a war going on. And sometimes our attention also gets diverted on what the other party is doing. I like to stay away from such negativity and would rather focus on my film.”
Rohit also expressed his happiness at Zero getting a week’s free run. “I am happy that Zero will get one full week. They are also getting Christmas.”
Rohit is also worried about screens getting divided in case Zero does exceedingly well. “We averted the clash so as to avoid screens getting divided. There are enough screens in today’s time to make sure there is no division. Even if Zero does exceedingly well, they will have the same number of screens like before.”
Rohit also said that there is no stress between him and SRK and said that Simmba‘s colour correction is being done by Red Chillies.
