‘Footprints belong to a wild bear, not Yeti’: Nepal officials reject Indian Army’s claim about sighting mythical snowman

Nepal officials have reportedly rejected the claim of the Indian that they had discovered the imprints of the mythological snowman Yeti. They have said the footprints belong to a wild bear.

Nepal Army spokesperson, Brigadier General Bigyan Dev Pandey, said their liaison team was together with the Indian Army team that had seen Yeti’s footprints.

Pandey said: “We tried to confirm the claim, but locals and porters said that it is the footprints of wild bears that often appear in that area.”

The local porters who were with the Indian Army have also said that such footprints often appear in the area.
