Fake doc nabbed in Panchkula for selling medicine that guaranteed birth of male child

Panchkula: A fake doctor has been nabbed in Panchkula for selling medicines for conceiving a baby boy. The fake doctor used to give some medicines to the pregnant women claiming their consumption would ensure a male child. A case has been registered against the fake doctor at Sector 5 police station under PNDT Act, IMC Act and relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.

Suspect Man Singh, who claimed to be a BMS doctor, had been running his clinic at Majri Chowk in Sector 2 for the last two years. He did not have any registration. Health department had received information that he had been running his clinic at different places.

Tried to operate from temple premises

Recently, the fake doctor tried to operate from the premises of some temples but the temple authorities did not give him the permission. About 20 days back, he started operating from near a temple in Sector-4. He was caught red-handed by the health department team. He used to sell male child conceiving medicine for Rs 50.
