Surat: As many as 4394 fake branded shoes bearing tags of famous brands like Nike, Adidas, and Air Jordan were found in a building of a closed mill at Baleshwar village in Gujarat’s Surat district. A youth of Surat used to supply these fake shoes to customers through online Snapdeal.
4394 pairs of shoes found
Police said they received information that duplicate shoes of the branded companies were stored in a building of the closed Salim Fashion Mill in Baleshwar village of Palsana tehsil. Based on the information, LCB police conducted the raid.
As many as 4394 pairs of shoes bearing tags of brands like Nike, Adidas and Air Jordan were recovered. All the shoes were made by copying the branded companies.
Fake shoes arrived from Delhi
Duplicate shoes were being sold online to customers for the last three months through Snapdeal by one Sahib Mohammed Sadiq Tambuwala, resident of Surat. Amit Nagpal used to send him the fake shoes from Delhi.
Both the youths have violated the copyright of the companies. Cases have been registered against them.
