Chittorgarh (Rajasthan): Shrichand Kriplani, minister for urban development in the Rajasthan government, while addressing a public meeting, threatened to commit suicide if he is not elected. “Vote for me or I will end my life,” Kriplani told a public meeting at Segva village in the Gadol Panchayat area on Friday. He is the BJP candidate from the Nimbaheda Assembly constituency in the state.
After the video of the speech went viral, the minister said it was joke. The opposition Congress, however, is not amused. It has complained to the Election Commission that the minister was ‘threatening’ voters.
