Mumbai: Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, while replying to the statement of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, said on Thursday that instead of finding solutions to the problems, the government is forced to accuse the opposition. Sitharaman said on Wednesday that government banks were at their worst during the time of Manmohan Singh and former RBI governor Raghuram Rajan.
‘Most factories in Maharashtra closed in last 5 years’: Manmohan Singh was holding a press conference in Mumbai in connection with the Maharashtra elections. He said that to improve the economy it is necessary to find out the real problems and reasons.
The former PM said the apathy of the government is affecting the ambitions and future of the people of the country. Business sentiments have deteriorated in Maharashtra. Many factories are under threat of closure. In the last 5 years, the maximum number of factories were closed in Maharashtra. The government of the Center and Maharashtra do not want to adopt the policies that are in the interest of the people.
