Mumbai: There were rumours about Kader Khan breathing his last recently. However, reportedly his son Sharfarz refuted this information.
A couple of days ago Amitabh Bachchan wrote an emotional post on social media as he wished veteran actor Kader Khan and his co-star of Do Aur Do Paanch a speedy recovery. Reports suggested that due to breathlessness Khan was admitted in a hospital in Canada and was on ventilator.
Talking about his ill-health, Khan’s family friend and producer-director of his last film Hogaya Dimaagh Ka Dahi in which he acted, Fauzia Arshi says, “Depression did this to him. He has even lost his memory.”
Fauzia who is constantly in touch with the senior actor through his son Shahnawaz Khan says that the actor is being taken care of by his family in Canada stating that the reason behind his crashing health condition is his state of mind.
She elaborates, “First he became wheel-chair bound; age started catching up and distance between him and movies went on increasing. He is an actor who lived on films. He used to breathe movies and it is this distance that he couldn’t take.”
She further adds, “He had once told me that he wanted to remake his old film Shama (1981) which he produced. We were on talks on the same. He told me that apart from that he had written a couple of scripts and I told him that I will support him to fulfill his dream. However, when he fell ill he couldn’t digest the fact that nobody from the industry turned up to take care of him or even show support. He told me, ‘Nobody even came to see me’. I just hope that he gets a speedy recovery.”
