Cricket/ Madhya Pradesh’s Ravi Yadav becomes first bowler to pick first over hat-trick on first-class debut

Indore: 28-year-old left-arm seamer Ravi Yadav became the first bowler to pick a first over hat-trick on first-class debut. The Madhya Pradesh bowler got his name into record books in the Ranji game against Uttar Pradesh.

He became the first bowler in India and the second bowler in the world to do so. At Holkar Stadium in Indore, Ravi dismissed UP’s Aryan Juyal (13) off the third ball of the 7th over. Aryan was caught by Ajay Rohera.

Ankit Rajput (0) was dismissed on the fourth ball and Sameer Rizvi (0) on the fifth ball of the over. Both were bowled.

Ravi was born in Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh, but he plays for Madhya Pradesh. Before Ravi, Ris Philipp took a hat-trick in S. Africa’s first-class match in 1939–40.
