Bollywood Desk: Singer Shweta Pandit, who is married to Italian film producer Ivano Fucci and has been living in Florence, Italy, for the past six months. She has now opened up about how she is coping with self-isolation.
The singer said, “Despite initial panic, there’s a sense of togetherness among everyone. People seem to have accepted the lockdown. The squares are empty, and the usual morning crowds are nowhere to be seen. I saw how quickly the authorities took the decisions — they value human life more than the billions they will lose due to this lockdown. More than a struggle, I see the country triumph over this pandemic.”
Shweta Pandit has warned people, especially Indians, against taking the coronavoirus pandemic lightly and urged everyone to avoid travel and respect the directives of the government for a complete lockdown.
In a video she shared on Instagram, Shweta says, “You must have heard about coronavirus that is creating havoc all across the world. Even India announced complete lockdown and that was essential.”
Shweta says, “This is such a disease that we can’t even understand how and when we got it. I want all of you to fight the disease and defeat it. Listen to music, read something, take some rest. Be safe. Jai Hind.”
