Content decides the budget of a film: Rajkummar Rao

[dropcap]H[/dropcap]aving delivered a blockbuster like Stree, Rajkummar Rao has had a rocking 2019. The actor, who believes that in today’s times only good content will work well with audience, is currently working in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga.

“Content decides everything in today’s times. Budget ka koi lena dena nahi hai. Content decides budget. If content is strong, then audience will like it,” he said.

His co-actress Sonam Kapoor too agrees that content is the sole factor that makes a film hit or flop. The actress, who has been a part of multiple women-oriented movies, says that it has never been a conscious decision from her part to get associated with women-oriented cinema. “I have never consciously thought about doing such films. For instance, Sanju was not such a film. It is just that I liked the content of other films and they turned out to be women-oriented.”

Meanwhile, producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra recollected an incident that happened at Dangal’s success party. When a guest asked Vidhu Vinod about why Aamir Khan is delivering hits after hits, Vidhu said that had Dangal starred any other actor it would have been a hit too because the script and content were powerful enough.
