35 per cent registrations from small cities

Maximum registrations on these sites are done by youths who are IT, finance, or engineering professionals. Contrary to popular conception, about 35% registrations on matrimonial sites come from towns and villages.

Registration on matrimonial sites is expected to increase at the rate of 60% annually. About one crore marriages are solemnised every year in India and out of them the contribution of matrimonial sites is at present less than 10%.
