‘Coming with me to Goa? Ready for vulgar chats?’

Raipur: At a meeting organised here on Tuesday to select the BSP candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in Chhattisgarh, Kamda Jolhe, former party MLA from Sarangarh constituency, created a sensation by levelling serious charges on ML Bharati, BSP national in-charge for Chhattisgarh.

Kamda Jolhe

Addressing the meeting in the presence of Bharati, Jolhe said that Bharati asks women party workers seeking tickets to indulge in vulgar chat with him on mobile and to accompany him to Goa. “If that is the criteria for getting party nomination, it is shameful and reprehensible,” she said, before breaking down.

No response to complaint

After regaining her composure, she said that she had complained about the indecent proposals being made by Bharati to the BSP national general secretary Dr Ashok Siddhartha in writing. “I had written the letter a month back but did not get any response. That is why, I decided to talk about it in public,” she said.

Rubbish, bundle of lies

Bharati has denies the charges. “All this rubbish and a bundle of lies. Some persons are using such cheap tactics to hurt the party. I will put up my defence before the national leadership,” he said.

It is an internal matter of the party. We will solve it soonDr Ashok Siddhartha, national general secretary, BSP
