Chhattisgarh: Cows wait outside as their minder performs his democratic duty

Bhilai (Chhattisgarh): Jayendra Yadav of Pachpedi village in Patan Assembly constituency in Chhattisgarh had set out on his usual task – grazing cows – on Tuesday morning. He was on his way when he suddenly remembered that it was voting day and decided that he would exercise his franchise. Polling was held for the second and final phase of Assembly elections in the state on Tuesday.

And so, he drove the 100-odd cows he was minding to the polling booth at the Pachpedi Primary School. The cows waited outside as Yadav pressed the button of the EVM. Job done, he left the place with the cows in tow.
