[dropcap]A[/dropcap]head of the state assembly elections in five states including Telangana, among the political parties, the period of blaming each other had begun to win public support. Asaduddin Owaisi, president of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and Parliamentarian, sparked a communal controversy by saying it is BJP who want “Muslim mukt Bharat”.
Speaking in Bahadurpur on Wednesday, Owaisi said that BJP chief Amit Shah visited Telangana and said he would rid Hyderabad of Majlis
“Amit Shah is chanting Majlis-mukt (free of Majlis party) country, but he doesn’t want Majlis-mukt bharat, but instead is wants a country without Muslims, You don’t want country to be free of Congress”, Owaisi has made shocking claim against ruling party’s president Amit Shah while addressing a rally in Telangana’s Bahadurpur.
The leader’s statement can be seen developing a feeling of insecurity and fear among the Muslim minority.
Voting in poll-bound Telangana is scheduled for December 6. Owaisi’s party AIMIM has already re-nominated its seven sitting MLAs to contest in Hyderabad’s old city area, while the party’s next candidate list is about to release soon.
The political leader and his younger brother Asaduddin Owaisi, who is also a MLA from Hyderabad, are known for their controversial statements.
