Patna: The shocking incident of more than 30 rapes in a shelter home in Muzaffarpur is getting more murkier with the police registering a second FIR against Brajesh Thakur who ran this shelter home for women.
The second FIR has been registered in connection with 11 women and 4 children who are missing from another shelter home run by Thakur, reports India Today.
The ongoing investigation into the rape cases has now revealed that Brajesh Thakur ran another shelter home for women and children in Chaturbhuj Sthan area of Muzaffarpur. Women living at this shelter home were imparted training to make them self-reliant and to find employment opportunities for them.
No FIR in the case for two months
Even after the administration came to know about the missing women and children on June 9, no FIR was registered in this case for two months. It’s only now, the social welfare department has lodged an FIR at the Mahila police station on Sunday night.
