Bettiah: An eight-year-old girl is in a critical condition after she was gangraped near Shivaghat Pul in Bettiah, Bihar, on Sunday. Police nabbed both the suspects shortly after the incident.
The girl lives in a colony in the area along with her elder sister.
The girls were on their way to heir maternal uncle’s house near Mainatand and were at the Chhavani Chowk bus stand when two youth reached there in a car. They asked the elder sister to come with them but she refused. They then gagged the younger sister, forced her inside the car and sped away on Mainatand road.
Elder sister informed cops
The elder sister informed the police. Later, the accused left the younger sister at Chhavani. The police recovered the child early on Monday at about 4am and got her admitted at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for treatment. Doctors said she is in a critical condition.
Sister identifies culprits
Police said the elder sister has identified both the culprits. The accused have been identified as Farman Khan and Saddam Hussein.
