Big B’s hand-written notes to ‘Gully Boy’ cast is winning hearts across the Internet

Amitabh Bachchan has watched Zoya Akhtar’s latest directorial Gully Boy and loved the film so much that he took to sending hand-written notes to all the start cast of the film.

Ranveer Singh, who plays the protagonist, Murad, recently received a bouquet of lilies and a hand-written note, a picture of which he shared on Instagram with the caption, “Sabse khas puraskar

Big B’s daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda was one of the first ones to leave a comment on Ranveer’s post, by putting a heart emoji comment.

Other than Ranveer Singh, actors like Alia Bhatt, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Vijay Varma also received shout-outs from the 76-year-old megastar.

Alia shared a photo of the flowers and a note she received from Big B and wrote, “Its not everyday you receive a letter from the legend. Grateful.”

Debut actor Siddhant Chaturvedi, who shot to fame overnight for his performance as rapper MC Sher, a mentor to Murad in the film, was overjoyed when he received kind words of appreciation from Amitabh Bachchan.

Siddhant took to Instagram to share a post in Hindi, “Sadar pranam. Aapka uphar aur ashirwaad mila, jo mere liye akalpaniya hai. Iss khushi ki vyakhya mai shabdon mein nahi kar sakta.”

Vijay Varma, who plays the character of Moeen – a drug peddler and Murad’s close friend, shared a selfie holding the note sent by Amitabh Bachchan and wrote, “That’s it. Thappa lag gaya! I’m so so honoured and touched by your gesture, sir. Always in awe and love, your biggest fan, Vijay.”

Gully Boy has become Zoya Akhtar’s highest earning film till date with as much Rs 111 crore worth of box office collections in just 10 days.
