Sangod (Kota): Within hours of publication of news in Dainik Bhaskar, the family members of not only Pulwama martyr Hemraj Meena but also Bhagirath Singh of Dholpur, who had also made the supreme sacrifice in the same terror attack, got cheques of Rs 45 lakh each. Family members of both the martyrs had been waiting for the help for the last five months.
On Wednesday, Bhaskar published a ground report highlighting that Pulwama martyr Hemraj neither got Rs 50 lakh assistance or 25 bigha land as promised by the government even after 5 months of Pulwama attack. This issue was discussed in Jaipur and Delhi.
Within a few hours, the officer reached the village Vinodkalak in Sangod tehsil of Kota district and handed over a cheque of Rs 45 lakh to the wife of the martyr. Out of the total financial assistance of Rs. 50 lakhs announced by the State Government, Rs. 5 lakhs had been given earlier.
Kin appeal to complete construction of road
On Wednesday, a cheque of Rs 45 lakh was handed over to martyr’s wife by ADM RD Meena. On this occasion, the wife of the martyr also made an appeal to install a statue and a memorial at the funeral site of the martyr and to complete the incomplete work of road construction to their house. The sons of the country who were martyred in Pulwama on February 14, 2019, included five bravehearts of Rajasthan.
Among them are Hemraj Meena of Kota, Rohtash Lamba of Jaipur, Bhagirath Singh of Dhoulpur, Jitaram of Bharatpur and Narayan Lal Gurjar of Rajsamand.
