Asha Bhosle’s sarcastic thanks to Graham Bell on Twitter is an eye-opener for today’s youth

New Delhi: Recently, legendary singer Asha Bhosle took to Twitter to share a picture with a very relevant message to point out how elderly persons often feel lonely even in a crowd.

In the photo Asha Bhosle can be seen a sitting room with four men – all busy on their phones. Being the only one without a phone, the singer used the image to deliver a social commentary about, thanking the inventor of the telephone, Alexander Graham Bell, in a sarcastic tweet.

She captioned the photo, “Bagdogra to Kolkata… Such good company but still, no one to talk to. Thank you Alexander Graham Bell,” she wrote in the biting caption accompanying the picture.

Going by her caption, she was on her way to Kolkata from Bagdogra for a music concert.

Her tweet has garnered about 5,2000 ‘retweets’ and about 24,000 ‘likes’. Several people reacted to the photo differently. While some called the photo a much-needed reality check, others said that they would never dare to check their phones in the presence of the legendary playback singer.
