Armaan Kohli, accused of assaulting girlfriend, arrested by Mumbai Police

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Armaan Kohli has been arrested by the Mumbai Police for allegedly physically
assaulting his girlfriend and live-in partner Neeru Randhawa, a 35-year-old model and fashion stylist. A
case was registered against Armaan Kohli on June 4 at Santacruz police station.

On the run for almost a week, the 46-year-old actor was arrested by Mumbai Police from Lonavla on Tuesday. He was found there at his friend’s farmhouse.

The couple were in a relationship for past three years and they used to live-in together a flat in suburban Santacruz.

According to the complaint, they had an argument over some monetary issue at their residence
on Sunday evening (June 3) and during the altercation, he allegedly pushed Neeru and she fell from
the stairs. Then he pulled her hair and banged her head on the floor. She suffered head and knee
injuries in the course of the incident and was admitted to a hospital by her driver.

“I got around 15 stitches on my head and it’s a very deep wound. The surgeon says that even after the surgery,
the scar will remain on my face for a life time. Armaan Kohli threatened me to not go public, everyone
knows what kind of person he is. I am not afraid of anyone now,” Neeru Randhawa said.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone IX) Paramjit Singh Dahiya confirmed the arrest. The actor was not
cooperating in the probe and later fled. “Armaan has been tracked from Lonavala and brought to
Mumbai,” said Dahiya.

Kohli had been booked under sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult
with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) and other
relevant sections of the IPC.

Armaan has appeared in films like Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani and LOC: Kargil in 2003. He is also known for featuring in Bigg Boss 7 as a contestant.
