Arjun Kapoor to shift to Karjat for Ashutosh Gowariker’s ‘Panipat’

Mumbai: Arjun Kapoor has started preparing for the role of Marathi warrior Sadashivrao Bhau in Ashutosh Gowariker’s Panipat. Arjun has been working on his body and is also going to sport a new look for this film.

The actor was recently spotted covering his head and face in latest pictures when he stepped out of his residence. A source says, “Arjun has partially shaved off his head like Ranveer Singh did for Bajirao Mastani and got rid of his stubble. The makers had asked him to guard his look, so he was seen wearing a mask as well as a hoodie. The actor will be shifting to ND Studio in Karjat where a huge set of Shanivar Wada has been erected. The crew has been preparing for the first schedule which is starting from November 23. Arjun and rest of the cast will be staying in Karjat to save time as well as to avoid leaking their looks for the film. This is going to be a long schedule and some major and intense scenes will be shot in this particular schedule.”

Ashutosh had announced this historical drama earlier this year and it is set to release in December next year. The film will see Kriti Sanon playing Parvati Bai and the actress has been taking tutorials to learn Marathi.

Sanjay Dutt is essaying the role of Ahmed Shah Abdali and Padmini Kolhapure will be playing Gopika Bai.Neeta Lulla will be designing the the costume for the cast and Ajay-Atul have composed songs for it.
