Any guesses on the individual net worth of Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal?

New Delhi: Isha daughter of Nita and Mukesh Ambani is set to get engaged to Anand Piramal, only son of Anand Piramal and Swati Piramal, on Friday in a lavish location in Lake Como, Italy. The engagement celebrations are likely to spread over the weekend.

While the duo have been long-time friends, their family ties date back to the 70s. Earlier this year, 33-year-old Anand Piramal had proposed to 26-year old Isha Ambani at a temple in Mahabaleshwar, Maharashtra on a vacation.

Even though there’s no official estimate of Anand Piramal’s net worth, he is the executive director of $10-billion Piramal Group, which has diversified presence across sectors like healthcare, financial services, real estate and packaging. Anand’s father Ajay Piramal is the chairman of the Piramal Group, whose net worth according to the Forbes 2017 report, was $5.6 billion (about Rs 40,350 crore).

Anand founded Piramal Realty, which started its operations in 2012, when the realty sector was going through a turbulent phase. Piramal Realty has reportedly raised about Rs 2,700 crore from global financial majors such as Goldman Sachs and Warburg Pincus. And at present, Piramal Realty has over 15 million sq ft of land under development.

In July it was said that the company expects to raise about Rs 2,200 crore in revenue from the second tower of its luxury housing project in south Mumbai. It then tied up with Omkar Realtors for housing project ‘Piramal Mahalaxmi’ that has over 2 million sq ft of development potential. The total investment is estimated at Rs 2,600 crore to develop the entire project, which will have three towers.

Prior to Piramal Realty, Anand also founded a rural healthcare initiative known as Piramal Swasthya, that treats over 40,000 patients a day.

Isha Ambani on the other hand is a director at Reliance Jio Infocomm and Reliance Retail Ventures. Mukesh Ambani-controlled Jio, which has become the No 3 player in the mobile telecom market in India in just two years of its operations, is reportedly first seeded by Isha Ambani in 2011. Forbes magazine named her among its 12 “power businesswomen” from Asia in 2016 who were well on their way to forging magnificent reputations in their businesses.

In 2008, the Forbes list of The World’s Billionaire Heiresses (To Be) ranked Isha Ambani as number two on the list. According to a Finapp report, an estimated net worth of Isha Ambani is $115 million (about Rs 765 crore). It also mentioned that the annual income of Isha Ambani is estimated at $16 million.
