Amit Shah moves Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill 2019 in Lok Sabha, says Parliament can make law on J&K

New Delhi: After a historic decision by the Rajya Sabha on Monday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday moved in Lok Sabha the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill 2019, The Jammu and Kashmir Reservation (Second Amendment) Bill 2019 and the resolution revoking Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir in Lok Sabha.

Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury of Congress said: “I want to know. You say J&K is an internal matter. You bifurcated it. Can J&K be an internal matter considering previous bilateral agreements between India and Pakistan? You violated all rules and converted a state into a Union Territory overnight.”

Amit Shah said: “Jammu & Kashmir is an integral part of Union of India. PoK also comes under it, we will die for it.”

“Does Congress want UN to resolve Kashmir?” asked Amit Shah.

“This country’s Parliament cannot be stopped from making any law on J&K,” said the Home Minister.
