Honolulu: On Wednesday afternoon, an assailant opened fire on the US military base in Pearl Harbor. In this, 2 Defense Department employees were killed, while one is in critical condition.

According to officers, the attacker shot himself after firing. He has been identified as a US Navy personnel. Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria of the Indian Air Force was in Pearl Harbor at the time of the incident. He is participating in a program with officers from the Indo-Pacific region. All officers of the Indian Air Force are safe.

Base fully closed: The base was completely closed after the incident. Only police and military team vehicles are allowed inside.

Pearl Harbor modernizes ships and submarines for the contingent of the Indian Indo-Pacific Ocean region. Apart from this, their repair and maintenance are also done here. Pearl Harbor has about 10 US naval warships and 15 submarines.

Chief of Air Force present in Pacific Air Chief Symposium:Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria has gone to participate in the Pacific Air Chief Symposium (PAX 2019) program organized by the US for the Air Force Chiefs of the Indian-Pacific Ocean Region. The purpose of this conference is to shape new plans to increase regional security and mutual cooperation. Apart from the US, Air Chief Marshals from 20 countries are present in this conference.
