All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has banned and boycotted Mika Singh two days after his video in which he is seen performing at the wedding festivities of Pervez Musharraf’s relative in Karachi went viral. AICWA has also banned the singer’s production house and the music company.

AICWA, in a statement released on Tuesday, said that they have decided to end the singer’s association with the film production houses, music companies and online music content providers.

Those working with Mika will face legal consequences: AICWA

AICWA President Suresh Gupta added that he will make sure that no one works with Mika Singh in India and if anyone does “he will face legal consequences in the court of law.”

The statement further said that at a time when the tension between India and Pakistan is at its peak (because of the removal of Article 370), “Mika has put money above the nation.”

Despite a blanket ban in Pakistan on broadcasting Indian media content including films and songs, Mika Singh and his crew were issued visa for 30 days for three cities of Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, according to a Pakistan news website.
