Ahead of Akash-Shloka marriage, Ambanis serve food to 2,000 kids

Mumbai: Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani began a week-long Anna Seva (Food Service) programme in all the orphanages and old age homes in Mumbai on Wednesday to commence the celebrations of the upcoming wedding of their son Akash with Shloka Mehta. They served food to about 2,000 children together with the family of Akash Ambani’s fiancee Shloka Mehta.

During the opening of the Dhirubhai Ambani square in Mumbai, the Ambanis also treated the kids to an enthralling musical fountain show. The musical show was a visual treat with renditions of ‘Vande Mataram’ and ‘Jai Ho’, synchronised with the movements of the fountain.

The Ambanis had organised a similar Anna Seva function before their daughter Isha’s wedding in December. At that time they had served food to more than 5,000 people in Udaipur in Rajasthan.

Shloka Mehta is the daughter of diamantaire Russell Mehta. Akash and Shloka Mehta will get married this month.
