After Indo-Pak tensions rise, Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar limit promotions of ‘Kesari’

Akshay Kumar’s film on famous Sikh battle, Battle of Saragrahi, is set to release this month on the occasion of Holi. The film, Kesari, is produced by Karan Johar and Akshay Kumar. It is said that the duo have decided to do limited promotions for their film.

“Akshay has always been known to be sensitive towards national issues. So, he and his team have restricted promotions as they think it is not wise to go out of their way to promote their film at this point of time when the country is concerned about national security,” said a source.

It is also said that they believe in the strategy of less you talk about the film, the better it is, as there will be curiosity among the audience if they don’t know much about it. Moreover, after the release of the trailer they have managed to create enough buzz about the film.

Akshay has already donated money after recent Pulwama terror attack on Indian soldiers and created an app for soldier’s families who have lost their lives for the country.
