13-year-old murdered after gang-rape in Bhopal, girl’s aunt, 2 youths taken in custody

Bhopal: A 13-year-old student studying in class VIII in Koh-e-Fiza area of ​​Bhopal was murdered after rape. The accused crushed the girl’s face to hide her identity.

The girl had gone with her minor aunt, a student of Class-12, and her friends to Manua Bhan ki Tekri, a popular picnic spot in the city.  

Police are interrogating two youths named Justin and Avinash Sahu and the aunt (bua) of the deceased. They have been taken in custody.

Later in the afternoon, BJP candidate Pragya Thakur reached the family of the victim, where the girl’s mother had fallen ill due to shock. Pragya got her admitted to the hospital.

According to information received from police sources, the girl lived in Lambakheda area and was a class VIII student in a private school. In this school, the aunt of the deceased was also a Class 12 student.

The aunt used to go to Karond to attend coaching classes. On Monday afternoon, the aunt took the victim along with her. Later they rode on a bike of Karond residents Justin and Avinash Sahu and reached Manua Bhan ki Tekri.

Aunt told the girl was missing

Later the aunt came home in the evening and informed that the girl had gone missing. After this, the family informed Koh-e-Fiza police station and started looking for the girl on the tekri.

At six o’clock in the morning, in a cave in tekri, the girl was found dead in a pool of blood. The accused had murdered her by crushing her head with a stone after sexually exploiting her.

Accused were caught on CCTV camera

The uncle of the deceased said that the two youths, aunt and the girl were caught in the colony’s CCTV camera at 4 pm. They are again seen in the camera at 6.10 pm but this time the victim was not seen.

Police said they got suspicious when Justin changed his statement thrice. Avinash has passed class-12 from Holy Cross School. He is a senior of deceased’s aunt and Justin is also Avinash’s friend. Investigations are on.
