Salman Khan’s ‘Notebook’ has real-life lawyer and a builder as the two leads

Salman Khan is set to launch two new faces through his production venture Notebook. After launching Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya and Aditya Pancholi’s son Sooraj in the film Hero in 2015, he is all set to introduce yesteryear actress Nutan’s granddaughter and Mohnish Bahl’s daughter Pranutan and a newbie Zaheer Iqbal through Nitin Kakkar’s Notebook.

The interesting bit is that before taking up acting, both the newbies were in completely different professions. Revealing the same, Nitin says, “While Pranutan was a lawyer, Zaheer was a builder.”

He further adds, “Indian parents always have a dream ki unka beta yeh karega ya unki beti yeh banegi. Pranutan’s life was no different. Her parents wanted her to become a lawyer and so she was studying law and practicing it. Similarly, Zaheer comes from a family where his father is into construction business. Zaheer too was following that. He is a builder and has completed a building in Bandra.”

It was only after a casting agent discovered Pranutan on Instagram and Salman spotted Zaheer at a wedding that the two were called for a meeting. Happy to become actors the two arrived for the auditions and even cleared the rounds. After this the duo was put through to acting workshops before they shot for their debut film Notebook.
