New Delhi: The Internet has dicovered a new hero — not the usual type, but a cute four-legged one. A police dog named “Officer Poncho” jumps to “save the life” of his human partner and the Internet can’t stop admiring its efforts. Poncho rushed to perform CPR on his trainer in a video that was tweeted by Municipal Police of Madrid on Friday. It has already been retweeted over 12,000 times and has been liked by over 22,000 Twitter users.
In the video when a police officer (and K-9 trainer) falls to the ground and pretends to lose consciousness during a training exercise, the tiny black dog leaps into action.
Poncho appears to perform chest compressions on his human trainer jumping up and down on the officer’s chest, using his front paws to “revive” him. Poncho also checks whether the man is breathing by flopping down near his face. .
After sometime, the police officer sits up, and gives the dog a well-earned treat as a reward for his “life-saving” skills.
Madrid Police’s tweet ends with a quote from Josh Billings: “The dog is the only being in the world that will love you more than you love yourself.”
"Heroica" actuación de nuestro #Compañerosde4Patas Poncho, que no dudó ni un instante en "salvar la vida" del agente, practicando la #RCP de una manera magistral.
