Actor Saif Ali Khan, who has recently shocked viewers with his varied roles in Kaalakaandi and web series Sacred Games, is all set to surprise his fans again.
The actor, who’s a part of Ajay Devgn-starter Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior, will be seen doing some never-done-before stunts. While talking to Dainik Bhaskar, the actor said, “I rehearsed some action scenes which I was supposed to do the next day. It’s something I have never done before and I am really excited.”
Saif shared how his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan felt about his look. “She saw me in the look of the soldier. She thought I was looking strikingly different from what I did previouly onscreen,” he said.
The film recounts the Battle of Sinhagad in 1670, which was fought between Tanaji Malusare, a commander in Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s army, and Udaybhan. While co-star Ajay plays the protagonist Tanaji, Saif says that he has been roped in as the anti-hero.
Sharing more details about the project, Saif added, “I will be seen sporting period costumes designed by a well-known fashion designer. I shoot wearing Persian and Mughal-era inspired outfits. I will be shooting for a few days or a month on beautifully designed sets.”
The film is all set to release on November 22, 2019.
