Prerna Arora denies making ‘Ghar’ remake

Prerna said that she has not got rights of 'Ghar' and wants to concentrate on 'Woh Kaun Thi' remake.

Although rumours suggested that Prerna Arora has bought the rights of 70’s classic Ghar film’s rights, the producer denied the claims.

Prerna said that she has not got rights of Ghar. “I first want to concentrate on Woh Kaun Thi remake.”

Prerna recently relaunched her banner and announced a couple of films. “Prerna had announced long time ago that she is going to do Woh Kaun Thi’s remake. The film is yet to go on floor but it seems the producer is not willing to slow down as she has been looking to get rights of more classic films and one of them is Ghar,” a source said.

Ghar was released in 1978 and starred Rekha and Vinod Mehra. The film revolved around a story of a couple and how they dealt with the trauma after the wife gets gangraped. The film was remade in Tamil and Malayalam. It received positive feedback from critics and is still remembered for its melodious songs.
