One terrorist killed, 2 jawans injured in J&K’s Kupwara as Army foils infiltration bid

As per reports, the terrorists were intercepted in Kupwara district of the state.

Srinagar: The Indian Army on Monday intercepted terrorists from across the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.

As per reports, the confrontation with terrorists took place in Safawali Gal of Kupwara district wherein one of the terrorists was gunned down by security forces. Two Army jawans were also injured in the exchange of fire. Heavy exchange of fire was underway when the reports last came in.

It has been reported that one AK-47 rifle has been recovered from the dead terrorist.

According to IANS, the alert Army personnel took heed of suspicious movement along the LOC and challenged the infiltrators.

“When challenged, the terrorists fired, triggering a gunfight. One terrorist has been killed in this operation which is still going on,” the sources said.
