New Delhi: Directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Production Dhadak starring
Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter has hit the screens today after much anticipation. The debut film of Sridevi’s daughter and Shahid Kapoor’s brother became a major talking point again on the issue of nepotism in Bollywood.
Based on the Marathi superhit Sairat, which had featured newcomers Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar in the lead, Dhadak is about two young lovers who dare to love beyond the bounds of caste and religion.
And as celebs showered praises on the two lead actors and director Shashank Khaitan a day before it was released for the audience, it seems not all were impressed after watching the film.
This is how Twitterati reacted on Dhadak:
#Dhadak review | The makers made a trash out of #Sairat in the name of adaptation! The movie disappoints you big time from poor performances to weak plot #JanhviKapoor fails to impress #ishaankhatter is okay types. What a beautiful film #Sairat was and what a disaster #Dhadak is! pic.twitter.com/oJHumG6Qzh

#Dhadak is worst copy of #Sairat!
Sairat is an emotional love story with
painful climax and #Dhadak is boring
with comedy climax. Poor Casting has harmed it badly. Both lead actors have performed badly. Director has
disappointed big time.
