Hostel horror: 4th girl comes forward, Sharma booked for another rape

Cases of rape, molestation already registered against director of private hostel in Bhopal.

Bhopal/Indore: The fourth survivor of the hostel horror involving rape and sexual assault of tribal speech and hearing impaired girls by the director of a private hostel in Bhopal, came forward and approached the police in Indore, on Saturday. Based on her complaint, the Heera Nagar police station has registered a case of rape against the accused Ashwani Sharma.

The 23-year-old woman from Dhar district was among the four who were kept in a separate house by Sharma in Crystal Ideal City in Awadhpuri here. Cases of rape of one, and molestation of two girls, have already been registered against the accused, who was arrested by Awadhpuri police station on Thursday. He is in police custody.

A 20-year-old woman, who first mustered courage to break her silence and lodge a complaint, had told her Indore-based interpreters that another of her friends was also raped by Sharma.

“One more girl has approached police and accused Sharma of rape. She has lodged a complaint at a police station in Indore.
