Harshvardhan’s ‘Bhavesh Joshi’ to clash with Sonam’s movie; Motwane calls it a ‘celebration’ for Kapoors

Motwane is not too upset about this clash as he saw it as an opportunity to celebrate.

New Delhi: A box-office clash between two films is never a happy situation in Bollywood and it is specially disappointing if the parties clashing belong to the same family.

In an unfortunate development, Harshvadhan Kapoor’s Bhavesh Joshi will now be locking horns with his sister Sonam Kapoor’s film Veere Di Wedding at the box-office. ‘Bhavesh’, which was earlier slated to release on May 25 alongside Parmanu has now been postponed to June 1.

Talking about the clash, ‘Bhavesh’ director Vikramaditya Motwane said, “The clash is happening for reasons out of our control. The decision was taken at our level that 1st June is a better date. And here we are.”

Vikramaditya, however, was not too upset about this clash as saw it as an opportunity to celebrate.

“It is a celebration if Kapoors are coming together. Girls will go for Veere and guys for Bhavesh,” said Vikramaditya.

The director is also racing against time to complete the little post-production work that is left in Bhavesh Joshi.

” A little bit of mixing is left. We have two more weeks to go and it should be ready by then.”
