Asia Cup 2018: Sania Mirza signs out of social media ahead of Indo-Pak match

The tennis star anticipated that it is safe to sign out of social media as the nonsense said by trolls 'can make a ‘regular’ person sick, let alone a pregnant one.'

Indian tennis star Sania Mirza opted to sign out of social media ahead of the highly-anticipated clash between India and Pakistan in Dubai. The 31-year old who is currently expecting a child with husband and Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik, has been a soft target for trolls and fans during previous Indo-Pak matches. Hence, this time she has decided to completely let go off social media.

In an already calculated move she tweeted, “Soo less than 24hrs to go for this match, safe to sign out of social media for a few days since the amount of nonsense thts gonna b said here can make a ‘regular’ person sick ,let alone a pregnant one. Later guys!Knock yourselves out!BUT remember-ITS ONLY A CRICKET MATCH! Toodles! (sic)”

India and Pakistan last faced each other on June 18, 2017 when they battled it out for ICC Champions Trophy final. Pakistan with a staggering century by Fakhar Zaman and a fierce bowling attack by Hasan Ali and Shadab Khan took home the coveted trophy, defeating India by 180 runs.
